IT & Community Mobilisation


Introduction

Computer Literacy:

  • Monday and Thursday classes- open for everyone in the community who wants to further their knowledge or currently is unemployed and is willing to do classes
  • Tuesday and Wednesday- BTG time
  • Friday- Grade 10 and Grade 11 for computer training
  • Saturday – Adult Classes wherein there are currently three different groups attending Computers and Life Skills training throughout the day

IT Services

  • Web developing – currently designing for Jacobs Well and Lubern Voere
  • Computer Maintenance Services- Fully operating at one  school currently , establishing relationships with other schools
  • IT Workshops- Currently we have non upcoming workshops but it will be good to mention that also.
Content

  • Computers- Intel Pentium 4 / Intel Celeron / Intel Core
  • Volunteers – For Computer training and Life Skills training (for adult class , we need more on life skills and less on computers- operational time for these volunteers varies on the following sessions: 8-10 , 10-12 , 12-2 and 2-4pm
  •  Tables/Desk- Not office ones (no drawers , not fancy) normal desks to put a computer screen and keyboard on top
  • All kinds of printers , scanners and projectors are acceptable

1. Reaching financial break even within 12 months through business activities

2. Establish a working relationship with the Department of Education specifically Gauteng Online.

3. Establish at least three IT sites

4.  Reaching at least 50 teachers to be fully equipped with basic computer training.

The New York Times published a article (and accompanying graphic video) on a mob justice murder in  Diepsloot this week. It is tragic. And it doesn’t have to be like this.
