We love getting to know new people! You are very welcome to come and volunteer. Not all of our projects are equally open for visits, due to the sensitive nature of some of the work.
These are our open spaces where you are welcome to join:
MONDAY – THURSDAY: Mornings 9-12
- Pre-school visits, crafts, playing, singing
- Food gardens, plant, dig, etc.
MONDAY – THURSDAY: Afternoons 1-3:30
- Grade 1-3 After schools: reading, play, sports
- Grade7-9 After schools: homework, life skills, sports
MONDAY – THURSDAY: Afternoons from 3:30
- Sport clubs: Soccer, netball
AFTER WORK / SATURDAYS:
- Teach Youth how to drive (own car)
Specific Volunteers:
SATURDAYS: Computer Literacy Classes and Life Skill Facilitators
Operational time for these volunteers varies on the following sessions: 8-10 , 10-12 , 12-2 and 2-4pm
- Computer training and
- Life Skills training (for adults)
- Curriculum is provided (but inputs welcome)
OTHER:
- Nurse or health professional to volunteer a few days a month to do basic health checks on the GREENLIGHT girls.
